Preludes by Daryll Delgado The short story called “Preludes” was written by Daryll Delgado. This talks about Nenita who is a wife of a cheater.
High Infidelity by Taylor Swift The song "High Infidelity" by Taylor Swift can be related to the story "Preludes" by Daryll Delgado. High Infidelity delves into the topics of cheating and infidelity in the song and the pain that revolves around it.In the chorus, she sings, “High infidelity / Put on your headphones and burn my city / Your picket/ fence is sharp as knives / I was dancing around, dancing around it.”

The connection between the two is that it's about cheating. Both works delves into the emotional turmoil that arises from being cheated. In "High Infidelity," the lyrics describe a man who is unfaithful to his partner the song highlights the pain and confusion that comes with cheating. Similarly, "Preludes" Nenita Who's A Wife Of A Cheater" portrays a woman who is married to a cheater. The story explores her feelings of betrayal, anger, and sadness, as well as her struggle to come to terms with her husband's infidelity.

And in the lyrics there "You know there’s many different ways that you can kill the one you love The slowest way is never loving them enough Do you really wanna know where I was April 29th?" what taylor want to express there is how easy it is for other people in relationships to hurt there partner and move on without any guilt just like Nenita's spouse was a negligent husband to her despite all the love, care, and sacrifice she had given him. Even until his last breath, Nenita took good care of him despite the mistakes he did. Even if she seems like she doesn't care, she's hurting from the inside.

In conclusion, "High Infidelity" highlights the destructive nature of infidelity and emphasizes the importance of maintaining a healthy relationship. Both works ultimately suggest that infidelity can have devastating effects on relationships and individuals. They serve as cautionary tales about the importance of honesty, trust, and communication in any romantic partnership.
